Arabic calligraphy Competition

1. Technical Specifications
  • Paper: A4 White Bristol Paper (smooth surface for better ink flow).
  • Duration: Exactly 30 minutes.
  • Layout: One central focus area with a hand-decorated border.
2. The Assignment by Category
Category A: Younger Students (Beginners)
  • Focus: Mastery of the “Foundations.”
  • Task: Write the letters Alif (أ) and Meem (م) multiple times in the center of the page.
  • Goal: Focus on the straightness of the Alif and the roundness of the Meem using the 4.0mm tip.
Category B: Older Students
  • Focus: The “Master Word.”
  • Task: Write one single powerful word in the center (Examples: Allah, Iqra, or Salaam).
  • Goal: Perfect balance and “Mizan” (proportion) of the word.
The Border (For All Students)
Every student must design a calligraphic pattern border around the edges of the A4 paper. They can use repeating strokes, dots, or “Nuqtas” to create a decorative frame.
