Public Participation Activity Year 2026 Guidelines for Participation

OBJECTIVE
To promote the use of Arabic in daily life by engaging families in a fun, creative, and interactive activity.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY
Participants are required to create and perform a short skit in Arabic based on everyday situations. The skit should be simple, engaging, and meaningful.
PARTICIPATION
  • Open to the general public
  • Each group must consist of 3–5 members from the same family
FORMAT
  • Duration: 2–3 minutes(maximum 4 minutes)
  • Language: Simple Arabic
  • Format: Video submission
SUGGESTED THEMES
  • At Home
  • Family Conversation
  • Helping Others
  • A Funny Situation
  • Daily Routine
LANGUAGE LEVEL

Participants are encouraged to use:

  • Simple vocabulary
  • Short sentences
  • Everyday expressions
SUBMISSION
  • Videos must be submitted via a Google Drive or YouTube link
  • Deadline: 30 June 2026

  • Creativity
  • Clarity of message
  • Family participation
  • Overall presentation
PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT AND VOTING

Selected video entries will be published on the official Arabic Speaking Union (ASU) Facebook.

Members of the public will be invited to vote for their favourite videos through online engagement during a specified voting period.

The final results will be determined as follows:

• 70% – Evaluation by the judging panel
• 30% – Public voting
🏆 Audience Choice Award

This award will be based solely on public votes.

How to register?

Families are invited to participate by submitting a short skit in Arabic based on everyday situations.

Interested families are required to register online by completing the official participation form using the link below:

VOTING RULES AND PROCEDURE :

  • Voting will be conducted through likes/reactions on official ASU platforms
  • Only votes from official ASU pages will be considered
  • The voting period will be announced in advance
  • Any attempt to manipulate votes (fake accounts, automated voting, etc.) may result in disqualification
  • The decision of the organisers and judging panel shall be final

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • The skit must be in Arabic
  • Content must be appropriate
  • All participants will receive certificates
  • Selected videos may be showcased during WALD celebrations
