Structure

The Arabic Speaking Union (ASU) is governed according to the provisions of the Arabic-Speaking Union Act 2011 and the Amendment Act 2015.
Its governance structure ensures transparency, accountability, and effective fulfilment of its cultural and educational mandate.

Executive Council
The Executive Council is responsible for the administration and strategic direction of the ASU. It consists of:
Appointed Members
  • Four members appointed by the Minister of Culture, chosen for their expertise and interest in the promotion of Arabic language and culture.
Elected Members
  • Four members elected from among the ordinary members of the ASU.
